Pain expertise in the fields of health care Pain is a multidimensional phenomenon and affects people of all ages and conditions at every stage of their resume. In addition to the body-related factors, psycho-social factors are increasingly becoming the focus of pain experts. They coordinate the therapeutic process, advise patients and their relatives, promote their quality of life and significantly shape their health care. In their specific proximity to people with pain, they are the professional professionals in assessment, diagnostics, intervention and evaluation in a multi-professional context. The total of four volumes on the subject are based on the curriculum of the European Pain Federation (EFIC) and link the interdisciplinary perspectives with practice-oriented insights. Volume 3: Educational Competences in Pain Management The experiences of pain patients and the individual management of their situation are the anchor of counseling in pain management. Hardly any task requires as much directly accessible expertise and competence in care as those “talking” activities of education. The specialist book shows how the information can be conveyed in a targeted and situation-appropriate manner, refers to the special features of different groups and their influencing factors.
