Globally, an estimated 431,288 individuals were diagnosed with kidney cancer. There have been about 13,300 new kidney cancer cases within the United Kingdom every year, which means on average 36 kidney cancer cases as per 2016 to 2018 data. RCC may be sporadic (-96%) or familial (4%) and belongs to a heterogeneous group of disorders that are subclassified into several distinct sub-types associated with distinct genetic abnormalities. Rare malignant neoplasms of the kidney portend aggressive biological features and outcomes but had not been covered in most books of Urology, Surgery and Medicine.
