Date & Location: Sunday, October 6, 2024, 8:30 AM – Monday, October 7, 2024, 5:30 PM, Zuckerman Research Center, 417 East 68th Street, New York, NY
After the resounding success of our previous six-year courses, we are thrilled to announce the return of our highly anticipated 7th Annual Workshop on Confocal Microscopy for Cutaneous Diagnostics.
Reflectance Confocal Microscopy (RCM) is a non-invasive device that images skin lesions at high resolution in vivo similar to traditional pathology. It has acquired CPT codes in the United States. This course is tailored for both novices and expert clinicians practicing RCM in clinics. Ex vivo confocal microscopy (EVCM) can rapidly image freshly excised tissue (without tissue processing and cutting) and is being explored as an alternative to frozen sectioning for tumor margin assessment and rapid tissue evaluation for dermatology. The future of noninvasive imaging is in a multimodal approach. This year, we are proud to introduce lectures focusing on the pivotal role of these cutting-edge devices in dermatology clinics.
For this live course, we have assembled a distinguished team of confocal experts, comprising both national and international faculty members. Engaging sessions will feature entertaining Kahoot! quizzes designed to test your understanding and simulate your appetite for learning. Additionally, in-person attendees will have the chance to interact with the course faculty during break sessions, fostering valuable networking opportunities.
In addition to the pre-recorded videos, attendees will receive access to a syllabus after the course concludes, which will include recorded videos of the presentations/lectures. Attendees must check in during the live program in order to receive access to the syllabus, and the syllabus will be available for three months after the course.
Who Should Attend
The target audience for this program includes clinical and non-clinical practitioners, dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, pathologists, medical physicists, residents, fellows, medical students, researchers, and technologists.
